I am a poet, artist and performer whose work synthesises different art forms and media. I am best known for my masked performances as a character called the Bird King, and my for visual poetry, which combines elements of visual art and the written word.
Playfulness, irreverence and risk-taking are cornerstones of my practice, and although I’m associated with the experimental poetry scene, I despise elitism and intellectual snobbery. I believe we are all capable of joyfully unfettered creativity, and we don’t need smart arses who set themselves up as authorities or gate-keepers.
