I was invited to take part in a Poem Brut event in Bristol on the evening of Friday 15 October, a second launch of SJ Fowler’s wonderful Bastard Poems. Unfortunately I was indisposed, so the Bird King had to stand in for me.

It was a cracking evening, featuring superb readings and performances by Paul Hawkins, Vicki Kaye, Susie Campbell, Simon Tyrrell, Peter Jaeger, Dominic Jaeckle, Aaron Kent, Sarer Scotthorne, Charles Putschkin, Martin Wakefield and of course SJ Fowler.
